Title:
Glycol pricing update
Release:

The price of a barrel of oil is trading at $55.00 per barrel at present. Great news when we go to the gas station! Did you ever think that Gas would be under $2.00 per gallon again? This is probably the only good news about the present economy we can find. The falling price of Oil and the slumping world economy are having an effect on the price of Antifreeze as well. Nov. contract prices have fallen to .40 per pound  for fibre-grade Glycol and some suppliers of antifreeze grade glycol have began to cut prices as well. There are some producers that have said they will take plants offline at such prices because of a lack of profitability.

As of yet these recent price changes have not filtered their way into the retail market, but we believe that by the end of the year we will begin to notice a downturn in prices. We will be monitoring the situation and as we see prices reflecting the reality of  the economic slowdown we will adjust our prices accordingly. And as always, nothing will change with regard to the high quality recycled coolants produced by ARI. So stay tuned, we'll see where this goes. Rob Kolhoff
